2022 Sommer Memorial Golf Tournament

The Sommer Memorial Golf Tournament is an 18-hole competitive golf event for players of all skill levels. The Golf Tournament is the principle fund-raising activity which supports the Annual Scholarship Program. Many participants return year after year to contribute to this worthwhile cause. Scholarship winners are in attendance to thank tournament participants. The Sommer Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at Royal Melbourne Country Club on Monday, July 25, 2022.

9:30 AM --- Registration is Open

9:30 - 11:30 AM --- Driving Range is Open

10:00 - 11:30 AM --- Buffet Lunch in Pub

11:45 AM --- "Pinball" putting contest on practice putting green

11:50 AM --- Greetings and Announcements

12:00 PM --- Shotgun Start

5:00 - 6:00 PM --- Cocktail Hour/Open Bar

5:45 PM --- Ball Toss Contest

6:00 PM --- Dinner Program in Ballroom

Tournament Formats

The Sommer Memorial Golf Tournament is an 18-hole competitive golf event for players of all skill levels.

4-PERSON TEAM FLORIDA SCRAMBLE

Each player tees off on each hole. The best tee shot is selected and the three players whose shot was not selected play the second shot from within one club length of the location of the selected shot. The best second shot is selected and the players whose shot was not selected play the third shot from within one club length of the location of the selected shot. This process continues until the ball is holed out. Each team will be assigned a team handicap by the Tournament Committee based upon a specific set of criteria. The team with the lowest net scramble score will be declared the Florida Scramble winner.
